In addition to the Common Admission Requirements for all C-N graduate programs, applicants to Counseling Graduate program (M.S.C.) must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for admission to the program:

  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Have a minimum overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 and a minimum 3.00 GPA in the major
  • Professional resume
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Interview for the purpose of assessing candidate qualities in the ares of motivation for professional development, communication skills, self-awareness, confidence, and potential for working with diverse populations
  • Two (2) recommendations: one (1) academic and one (1) employer (on-line request recommendation form)
  • Background Record Check
Applications Review Dates:
Admissions to Counseling Graduate programs are accepted for the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
All application materials must be submitted prior to the following dates:
  • March 1 - summer enrollment (limited to transfer students and returning counseling students)
  • March 1 - fall enrollment
  • October 1 - spring enrollment
Any applications received after those dates will be considered as space in the program concentrations is available.
