|WHAT IS THE C-N EARLY ALERT SYSTEM?|
A.C.E. is an acronym for Aware.Care.Encourage. The A.C.E. system is an early alert program providing faculty and staff a proactive, direct communication to the Student Success Center. The A.C.E. system alerts our staff of students who show patterns and signs of academic and personal struggles. All A.C.E. referral concerns are triaged to appropriate campus professionals to provide support and assistance to the students individual needs.
A.C.E Academic Referral areas of concern include but are not limited to:
- attendance issues
- missing assignments
- poor test/assignment performance
- course material comprehension
What happens once an A.C.E. Referrals is submitted?
Student Success staff will reach out to the student within 24 hours of receiving a referral through the C-N email. If a student has not responded within 72 hours, then staff will elevate outreach to include instructors, Residence Hall Coordinators, and if appropriate, Counseling Services. Outreach will also include phone, text, or in-person well-checks if the student lives on-campus.
