Examples of FMD Student Internships

In the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, all majors (except those who student teach) are required to complete an industry-specific internship with 150 contact hours. For FMD 468 Internship in Fashion, Fashion Merchandising and Design (FMD) students have interned at local fashion boutiques, entertainment corporations (including Six Flags and Dollywood), and national retailers, such as Nordstrom’s, Reebok, Goody’s, Altar’D State, and more. For more information about internships and the FMD program at Carson-Newman University, contact program leader Dr. Amber Roth (aroth@cn.edu).
