

The Religion Department gives several annual awards to outstanding students in Religion. Below is the full list of awards.
Brewer Scholar Award for Outstanding Scholarship
Given to a Jr or Sr Religion or Philosophy major, this award is announced in the CN Honors Convocation. The award consists of a $1200 check, a framed certificate, and the recipient’s name is placed on a permanent plaque in the office suite.

Shurden Award (Outstanding Junior Major)
This award is announced at the CN Honors Convocation during the spring semester and is again recognized at the picnic. The award consists of a $500 check, a framed certificate, and the recipient’s name is placed on a permanent plaque in the office suite.

Raymond DeArmond Greek Award
Given to an outstanding student at the end of 1st year Greek who shows promise of using Greek in ministry. Typically, the student is presented with a book as the award.

Zondervan Greek Award
